Buck

GTIF

Roofer
For me his job has to be on the line.
He appears far too inflexible in his approach, it is zonal defending or nothing for example, whereas at least a try at man to man marking has to be looked at
Why he has bucked off Iheancaho as Vardy's partner he alone knows
He persists with Johnny Turk when it is clear he is not up to it
For all his bad attributes I would plank the Great Dane all 6'6 of him in the six yard box to head the ball clear
Why has he not sat down Barnes and told him to watch countless reruns of buckin MasterMind to learn how and when to pass.
Overall there is a buckin big sense of deja buckin vu hitting me Buck couldn't turn things round at Celtic and I fear the same is happening here.
The Thai's don't mess around if we buck the job up this week I think he's gone

Buck couldn't turn things round at Celtic

what's that mean?

i don't take much interest in scotish football, but i thought he won every thing, every year, up there? and he left as they were well on their way to ninth title in a row.

Liverpool fans would agree.

Not much to argue with but think the Celtic reference is slightly flawed...."couldn't turn it around"...had they lost one game on the bounce or something?

I think it was more to do with being tripe in the Champions League/Europa
Even Reading fans say he reaches "peak Rodgers" after around three seasons.

No he won't. He is the central figure in a long term progamme to establish the club as a force in the game.
That job is only part done.
Any fan should know that there are bumps in the road and to panic when things are difficult is naive.
This is his first real challenge in what has been a steady upward movement and he will sort it.
To make points about his past fails to recognise that everybody improves with time.

Oadlad, this is not a bump, it is a long term slide and deterioration. He has overseen the downturn of a team vying for top four to relegation form. It is perfectly sane and normal to describe it, as I already have done, to the decline when under Peter Taylor

I think it means they couldn’t get their act together when it came to serious competition (Europe)

We'll agree to disagree in that one...because some managers don't improve with time

Long-term decline suggests the past couple of seasons have been poor as well. We finished fifth in May and won the bloody FA Cup in May.

He has an Army of assistants and support staff, don't you think it's about time they got out of the Seagrave Hot Tub and earnt their money on the training ground?.

Most of the the time I respect and agree with your posts.
On this occasion, I disagree.
His summer recruitment was dire, his tactics are dire, his substitutions are dire.
Conceeding a couple of goals to corners/free kicks is part of the game but week in week out is scandalous.
Finally, if you concede this many goals surely you would change your keeper.

James Justin
Wesley forfana
Yuri teilemans

3 names that start

3 names that are injured and missed badly

Things will get better. I’m not getting off the bus yet. I’m not just disappointed in Rodgers, I think the players need to buck up too.

That doesn't make buckin sense
I cannot run the 100 metres as fast now as when I was 21 so everybody does not improve with time and by the way I am not saying he should be sacked just I think he will be

Two things why change your 'keeper when defenders are failing to do the basics, yesterday a guy got a free header on the back post and secondly there is no guarantee with a different goalie we won't let even more in

Everyone should hold their heads in shame for the shambolic way we setup for the corner for their second goal.
Surely you would try your other keeper.
To me that is a no brainer.
I know you are all for Kasper so best we agree to disagree.

There are reasons for the slide though

Isn't the truth that we have got a bit used to being up there with the big money boys and at the moment it's not quite happening?
The glib way some on here have an employers' mentality is disappointing on a working class forum.
Sacking people with no idea if anyone better is actually going to be attracted to a medium sized club in the middle of nowhere I would argue is short termism. If you have no faith in your programme then you have no programme.
I once wrote a piece in a mag about clubs having dry spells and checked out MoN to support the argument as I thought he was immune to this but the facts were clear he had a biggish number of them. So, it's not unusual and are usually worked through.
Of course the spectre of relegation hovers but we are not a bad team just a good team getting some things wrong which is a big difference.
I accept that some of the recent signings have been disappointing but the emergence of KDH and Thomas has been welcome...

Saying defenders aren’t doing the basics, but kasper is????
You are living proof love is blind.

What reasons do tell hope it isn't JJ and.
Wes because every team gets injury problems
Yes but look how badly Liverpool suffered when they lost Van Djck. Fofana is just as important to us and without JJ we have lost our pace at the back so have to play deeper. People underestimate how big a loss Fofana is. It's effected our whole defence. Kasper is a bit shaky because he doesn't have a regular defence. Look at Denmark he has a regular defence in front of him and they hardly concede.

Schmeichel should have come for the corner for the second goal, 3 yards out ffs he needs to be left out.
Kasper had the correct starting position the corner was kicked beyond him he had no chance of reaching it however he should have saved the header

I tend to agree with you overall, but we are in the age of the millionaire/billionaire owners who, although they realistically don't need the money, they do dislike business failure, and that's what it will amount to if we end up in the bottom half of the table this year. Or God forbid we get relegated.
The next 2 months will be crucial...
