What the half - time tannoy announcement was about asking the Stoke fans outside in the smoking area to return to the ground ?
It mentioned that CCTV was in operation, and that arrests could be made.
1st time I can remember such an announcement being made.
No, they left the ground straight after the game. Earlier in some cases .The coaches and police escort travelled along Hinckley road around 7-15 last night, so they kept them in the KP for at least two hours after the game?
Had a go at Duffy’s tooTried to get in Beicklayers after match, few fisticuffs were thrown ,
well It was their big day outOn the walk back to the station were some of the drunkest away fans I've seen in a while.
Including one bunch, who were attempting to use Google maps on their phones whilst standing approximately 250 yards from London Road.
I saw an altercation just along from Duffy’s post-match. One large Stoke(?) fan came off worse against a much smaller bloke with an impressive left hook.Had a go at Duffy’s too
Us too, on journey back to Loughborough. We were held up by the police on Hinckley Road after the game for about 15 minutes while every coach in Stoke and surrounding areas went to the motorway. Never seen so many.
The biggest give away to a stoke accent for me is when they say ‘Luke’ and ‘Cuke’ instead of look and cook. Scousers say look with a gobby bit at the end.FAO Stokiefox.
Coming out of the station there was a group of youngish lads obviously Stoke fans. Was listening to them for a couple of mins as we walked along. Quite a few had what I’d term as a scouse accent?
On the way back afterwards same thing. Some others different, which is understandable as not everyone comes from Stoke itself but what’s the scouse accent about?
