Are we more relaxed now.

[...] One of my best friends is Harvey Barnes auntie. He told her, and this obviously wasn’t the full version, but TCR TOTALLY switched off last season. Didn’t want to be there. Hardly involved in training or tactics. The atmosphere was palpable with many players ( not him) wanting out because of Rodgers.
[...]
That opens up a lot of questions for me:

Did any of the players try and rectify this by, for example, trying to speak to Rudkin/Whelan/Top?

Or was there any attempt vice versa? Or were Rudkin/Whelan/Top too bamboozled by Rodgers' waffle? Or too scared of the financial implications by sacking him?

There was talk about players being involved when Ranieri got the sack (maybe not true though) so it would be surprising if there weren't any talks behind closed doors with the players this time.

Kasper had already gone to Nice but I suppose he would not have taken such poor standards.

Hopefully one day we'll find out about all this. This relegation still seems an incredible crash!

I just don't get how people think he sabotaged the season. No one goes to deliberately sabotage their own team. For one it wouldn't be good for their reputation. Ward and Iverson were both rubbish. Amartey well he was best of a bad bunch. Because Soyunco who bear in mind only had one good season for us was never going to play for us again, not after his unforgivable act of pulling out of a challenge.
Amartey did well when we had that huge injury crisis but he was crap and we could all see it.

Soyuncu isn’t amazing either but miles better than Armarty and he should have played.

And please don’t get me started on why he played Ward for most of the season. Just rotating him and Iversen for the first few games then choosing the best keeper would have kept us up.

When we inevitably get a points deduction at the beginning of the season, a ‘backs to the wall’, ‘it’s us against them’ attitude has to be instilled from the outset.
Have we got the players to buy into this mindset, and have we got a manager who will hammer this home and adapt to counter better teams than his playing in the same style?
I really hope so, to avoid becoming a Burnley mk 2

I'm still unconvinced that we can face a points deduction at the start of the season?
Not saying it won't happen...I'm sure the Premier League will attempt to do so...
But this will be a case of carried over points deducted and what are the implications of such a thing?
Had we taken 10 years to get promoted, would we still have faced the points deduction?
The teams who have "breached" the made-up rules have already been penalised this season, while we were not in the League.

Don't think we ever replaced Toure after he went on his short lived misadventure as Wigan's manager. Not that I was impressed by him anyway, and struggled to understand a word he said on the rare occasions that he did speak publicly. Total disappointment considering his playing career. So that left Chris Davies who has been true to form and now gone all spursy. Not sure what the players though about a bloke who seemed like a total yes man and never played beyond youth level. Also heard in that rodgers eschewed the charms of braggy park and went back to live in Cheshire with his new floozy who obviously didn't warm to the charms of Leicestershire.

I'm trying to not give a fuck, for once. I know its the best way, but not easy to do.

I'm 100% sure that Maresca is not a capable manager, l know our squad is very weak and lacking in backbone and leadership.

We know that we will lose points so we either adapt a siege mentality or sink, l don't think we have the bollocks to defend a siege.

We know that Maresca's only plan is to control games with possession football but we don't have the players to do this. Pace will get you out of a lot of trouble yet he won't use it.

So, I'm expecting to be bottom 2 all season, Maresca to be sacked at some point and whoever we get next will be the key to our survival or further demise.

I hated this season, when we were winning it was boring rubbish football. I'll still go, but it's testing me now and l know others who are fed up in the same way as me. I loved Preston because we just pretended all this crap football didn't happen and had a party, but if we keep pretending it will be alright then we are all really going end up with the hump.

The straws that I'm clutching at are, that some young uns come through and become a sensation, we get lucky and accidentally buy 2 or 3 top class players that everyone else miss.

Breadfan, via Snottingham. :)
Enzo has to be like Dyche next season, get in some English players who know what is needed in the PL without breaking the bank.
We don't want some foreign fancy pants who lumbers us with a big wage bill for 3 years and doesn' perform on the pitch.

FWIW, When watching the PL team line ups on SS they show the flag of a players nationality, Evington usually have 7 or 8. and it ain't done them any harm.

Maresca seems to have brought in to play like Man City, on instructions from the Top...
Which I fully support, if we are 4-0 up...
Until then, I went direct football and players playing to their strengths...

Don’t English players generally cost more then foreign born players?

This is what I don't get when people say we had a squad that should've been mid table. When it was proven our squad wasn't good enough and needed new blood. Our squad simply was not good enough.
Jesus. If you run a diesel car & put water in the fuel tank what’s going to happen???
That prick played ward & amartey to name just 2 when there were far better options he had available to him. He watched ward play 29 league games, twenty god damn nine before dropping him.
Relegation was down to him, pure & simple if you know the slightest thing about football.

I'm starting to think that daz is actually TCR. Would explain a lot.
