I love cricket, not a player so don’t understand the finer details, but I have loved every minute of this series.
Fair play to England, they’re so much more fun to watch than they were before McCullum and Stokes. They could have been 3-0 up before this test, but they weren’t, however they’d fronted up playing their way and fell just short.
I think they’ll win at The Oval, the media and MCC wet ones will claim a moral victory and the Australia will go home and have a rethink ahead of the next series down there.
That one will be a blockbuster.
Imagine if it was still Root’s captaincy?
If we’ve learnt one thing in this Ashes, we need to take tests away from Lords and teach the stuck up gin-monkeys how to behave.
