Cook Report - Hot Dog Wars

First time I've seen it since I watched it round 'Do Nut' Frank's house in Ellistown. I remember it causing a bit of a stink at the time but having just watched it for the first time since 1991 It reminds me of a poor episode of 'Minder'. I worked in Oadby at the time Thompson got shot, I remember being stuck on the A6 for ages. Thanks for posting it Wilko

The last time I read about it in the Mercury circa 2018 he was still in prison but trying to clear his name. I've not read anything about Terrence Burke for donkeys years
 
Slaney was given a double life sentence. Last thing I heard he was in Frankland Prison up in Durham!
 
A few weeks before the Great Glen shootings a case against Slaney for armed robbery of a petrol station collapsed in Court because of flimsy evidence!
 
A guy who used to run Simkins club, moved on to The Crown in Gilmorton, apparently a bit of a face. He told me that it was pretty common knowledge among the hoods that the wrong nan is in clink.
 
Slaney could have been out years ago if he said it was him, the fact he never has and is still inside speaks volumes.
 
I had also read that the Police got the wrong person for the Hot Dog murders, I think from the trial evidence 9 people made statements saying that WS was at a family party at the time of 'The Hit', but this was ignored,
From what I have read, WS did quite a few 'Other Jobs' which he had got away with, so the Police fitted him up on the Oadby job to even the score.
It must be around 32 years now since the assassinations, it makes you wonder if WS will ever get out of prison.
