Dog Recommendations

Have you bought a cage?
Lots and lots of newspaper at the ready?

Do you have a dog walker available who will look after the dog when you want to go on holiday or have a night out?
.They’ll break your heart, you only have to see the messages on here when someone loses their dog. Mine may be getting close and it’s killing me already.
Still one of the best things you’ll do in life though.

I endorse what Hackers has said, particularly about holidays etc. I you have to leave them, make sure it’s with someone who loves them as much as you do.
I’m also worried that Dexter (our 14 year old golden lab) is on his final chapter and it will literally be losing a family member.

Norfolk terriers are very similar to Cairn terriers.
We had a Cairn many moons ago, it was mental, but, a real character.

Maybe I'm thinking ahead, but if it doesn't work out - create a resume for the dog so someone will take it off your hands. 'Chained to offshore barge for safety - great guard dog'.

Lost mi e 4 years agoto rectal cancer she is stillinmy thoughts would love another but at 86 years it would be unfair on the dog

Can’t go wrong with a black Labrador, we have had a few and they are great companions and good with kids.
We are on our 3rd Labrador, had the 1st black one called Elsie.
2nd one was a yellow lab.
The one we have now is black, called Bentley.
Just got a new Golden Retriever pup called Oakley, but to be fair, him and Bentley don’t get along very well at the moment.

Look into a raw food diet, get ours delivered from a company called Honeys. Dog sitter recommended it to all her clients and everyone that has changed has commented on how their dogs seem healthier and fewer farts.

My daughter's got a cockerpoo , very loyal , affectionate and doesn't malt , dogs are like children , very social animals like their descendants wolves and not loners like cats, they are literally a family animal and get separation anxiety even for a couple of hours, if you just want a pet get a cat ,Paul O'Grady said' all dogs want is love' and he's right.

Never owned a dog until last year.

Do the right thing and get a rescue dog. Hopefully someone else will have done the hard work of puppy years already.

Hold fire, in the event of a nuclear strike one of the first survival instructions from the government is kill your pets.
You don’t want to be wasting your money just yet.
