General sale?

Yet again absolutely loads of tickets available in all areas of the ground for Sunderland & Leeds, why on earth don’t they put them on general sale?
 
Because they have large away followings and they don’t want away fans in home areas
There can’t be that many tickets we have 23,000 season tickets , 3200 go to away fans
so leaves around 6,000 for STH and members
Surely a team that is in our position can shift them or don’t even think about expanding the stadium 😁
 
Trouble is both games are 8 o’clock ko and live on Sky. Category A games, £39 in the kop, will be hard to shift.
 
Other clubs manage to not sell tickets to people with certain postcodes. There are always around it but you have to go to a bit of trouble.
 
The stupid thing is they should sell the tickets at a discount to those with a membership anyway. I’m not talking about the cost of a game that a ST holder pays, but cheaper than now. The cheapest ticket outside of the family stand for Tuesday is £35 for C1. The rest are between £39-49 which is frankly ridiculous. When you’ve already paid £32 for a membership, the cost of these games for the Championship is excessive IMO. At the end of the day they’re getting what’s left anyway.
 
After offering my ticket to anyone on my bus that wanted a spare for he slumberland game without any takers , I put it on the clubs resale site( can't make game as in ibiza) . It's not been sold as far as I know and if what's being said about prices is true then I won't bother again.

Do what I’m going to do. They’ll be a few matches I know I can’t go to. I’ll put the ticket on the roof gratis for someone to have via the club ticket swap. I believe you can do it 4 times/season. Has anyone swapped their ticket yet officially via the club

Yes I did it for the Hull game as we were in Nice.
I got 1/23rd of my season ticket credited to my account
Also, picked a good game to miss 😃
 
Does anyone know if there is a way to get tickets on general sale for Sunderland match? I can get ticket for myself currently (as of Sunday evening) as I have points but cannot get tickets for my young kids as they are linked to my account but they haven’t been to a match previously.
I’m trying to get family stand tickets as well but just cannot seem to get any extra under their name. Just the one ticket for myself. It’s absolutely baffling!

We raised exactly the same issue for a previous recent game & the "controls" they have in place are not there to stop kids attending their first game

I did it last season for a game Man City I think.
Think my ticket was something like £32 on average per game with the ST but club sold it on for £58 then gave me my £32 a few days later.
If it hadn't sold would have been feck all.
Should have gave it away out of principle.

My grandson (who is a member) has just got two tickets for tonight for him and his girlfriend.
 
Thanks for the help. So I had to sign them up as junior members both and then pay for tickets separately. Still needed Jim to help push it through as website wasn’t recognising their new membership status. It really is bonkers attempting to get tickets these days!
 
It's deliberately designed to fleece you for a membership or three, even if you can only make 1 game.

Not the way I'd treat my family, but then I don't brand myself as "family friendly"...
