International breaks

Me too, no interest what so ever in International football, never been to a England fixture apart from a 1970 U23s game at Filbert Street and U21s in 1992. The FA are useless in their management recruitment always have been, Southgate is another yes man, the next manager will be the same,

Daft thing is they’ll be 80000+ at the Malta game. A meaningless game vs a bunch of players generally from League 2 or equivalent. Most countries would beg for half that against bigger opposition.
Are the tickets cheap?

Why can't League games just go ahead, without the international players - even if they have to dip into reserve players?

I like the big tournaments, but the qualifying is utter dirge.
UEFA have watered it down by allowing more teams to qualify ( money trumps quality)
There are too many minnows in the qualifying groups and some bang average games in a 24 team Finals competition.
They should bang all the minnows into a pre qualifying group which allows no more than the best 2 to take part in the qualifying groups.
Watching any top nation playing at home to the likes of San Marino and Gibraltar etc is a complete bore fest.
If FIFA introduce a 48 team WC then that will send everybody to sleep in the first 2 or 3 weeks of a competition.

Ironically that was the last international l attended but in Malta 2000 whilst on holiday present for my 63rd birthday would'nt walk across the road to see them now too many of the prats favourites play today

Squad of 25, we had eleven on international duty for the latch batch of games, imagine how many the likes of Man City would have. Some teams would be forced to play an almost complete team of reserves.
