Biggest regret is that I’d arranged to meet him in town for a pre match pint or few before a game in 2021 to sort out season tickets for a match I managed to get for his mates, I had driven up that morning with one of my lads but my knees were fooked and I struggled to walk to the ground and never made it in town, shame really as we would probably have fecked the game off and stayed in The Globe or somewhere less salubrious …

We would have loved to have been there, but a train journey and all the other travel arrangements that we would have had to make would have made it an expensive trip, just for a couple of hours drink and chat.
