I hope I am wrong but it looks like 10 years by previous seasons maybe a lot of us may never see another season at top level football

For many of us oldies the club has achieved all of our ambitions and way beyond so relegation would not be a disaster but for the younger fans it would be, just as it was for us in 1969. So for their sake let's hope we can avoid it. I will be sad for them if it happens and sincerely hope it won't.

It’ll be the year 2043

A young Madison lad will be running tight circles and beating the same man 3 or 4 times before scuffing his shot into the ground.

He’ll take all the free kicks but score maybe 1 in 20 and every corner where he never beats the first defender..

He’ll even step up for pens in crucial season defining games and then chip the ball straight down the middle with all the power of a 92 year old woman with one leg and an iron lung .

The good news is young Madison has just signed a new 12 year contract worth 85 billion a year and average crowds at the Leicester Shonki brothers stadium is up by 5% to 12,000 .

the 3 or 4 years following 1969 were brilliant, maybe it was that me and my mates were just turning into teenagers and all the new things that happen to you was an ideal time to have the biggest and best team in the league (2) to follow all over the country.

Does Lal and Kal know that they are taking over the club ? It'll be a proper drinking club again then !!!

At some point next season somebody will come across the Liberty statue half buried in sand on what used to be Upperton Road, realise they’re close to the location where football history was made but then squandered, fall to the ground and shout, “You maniacs! You blew it! God damn you all to hell!”
