No More PPV Matches .......

The Premier League have today decided not to continue with the Pay Per View matches. Chief Executive Richard Masters said "We have listened to the Feedback" .........

I doubt they'll rush into anything other than a return to the 'Restart' distribution model for the next two or three months.

Why the clubs can't stream it themselves I saw a non league club doing it a couple of weeks ago and we did it pre season . oh sky are mainly having them for their shit broadcasts.

Why are Hartlepool doing it then?
So, as per my earlier question, you clearly don't understand. Amazing. I'll try and help – again – although I suspect you'll claim it's me that has the problem... 😆
OK. So the Premier League have sold the global distribution rights to their games for multiple billions of £s. In the UK alone, those rights raised around £5bn (as referred to in an earlier post) for the current cycle. Got that?
The PL have probably concluded that it's not a particularly bright idea to undermine their global reputation by simply standing by whilst individual clubs (some of whom, as someone pointed out to you in an earlier thread, would be delighted to break precisely the sort of collective-bargaining that certain lefties are so keen on promoting) simply stream their own games. Their lawyers may have been a little more assertive on the issue. Got that?
This is all also related to your naive assumption in another thread that it's nasty horrid evil nasty Sky who are behind pitch-side ads warning about the risks of watching illegal streams. The PL are the owners of the IP that's at risk all over the world; Sky are just one contracted distributor. It's the PL who, for some bizarre reason, are seeing fit to take various steps to protect their interests.
Those interests differ from those associated with non-league football. I can't think how, but it might come to me...
Hope this helps, matey.
