Sheffield Utd

The sending off didn't help them much, however even without that, it wouldn't of made a lot of difference.

I've a lot of respect for Sheffield United. Many happy memories of following Leicester into the steel city. The Penny Black, Black Swan, Buccaneer and the Orchard. All memorable watering holes
The latter being the venue for witnessing my first, and last, dwarf throwing contest.
Pond Street bus station after the match for chips ,sausages n beans .Sat next to the stripper we saw perform in the Black Swan pre match. 10p to get in back room lads.
Love those greasey chip butty folk.
And was there to see "that" kiss on the Bramhall Lane turf.
Train compartment, remember them?,on the way home awash with beer cans....Tickets please!

I spent many good weekends in Sheffield when my best mate went Uni there.
It was the only time I watched a league game that didn't involve Leicester.
Sheffield United were beating Blackburn 3-2 going into injury time, when a speculative long range shot went straight through John Burridge's hands to make it 3-3. I was in the Blades cop end and everyone around me had a meltdown.
It wasn't my team and I couldn't care less, in fact I actually felt like laughing, but in order to walk out with my body still in tact I pretended to be pissed off like the rest of them😁
I also recall the Frog and Parrot very well 🍺😁
