No complaints about our current status, no complaints with the current squad .
But how many of this current squad will/would be good enough for the premiership?????

So this IMO is the real benefit of playing in the championship. I feel a few youngsters could make the breakthrough- McAteer, Mavididi etc. I’d also love to see Braybrooke get his chance when he’s fit again. He’s supposed to be the real deal.

If we can go into the second half of the season a bucketful of points in front, we can afford to give him a go instead of Winks every game. Also Alves.

A fair few on the up improving so
More than you think.
Wonder if Vestergaard could do it though?

As Leicester City fans, we should know the answer to this more than most.
You could have asked the same question in 2015
We all should know that it’s massively down to coaching/management. Yes the 2015 squad had a couple of emerging super talents, but most were (the usual phrase) ‘misfits and rejects’
The 2022 squad was full of ‘stars’ and talents but coached into a quivering pile of shite.
I think it will all depend on if we keep Maresca. The manager/coach role is the be all and end all nowadays

Not that I am worrying about it at the moment as I am enjoying it all very much but I suspect not so many. Generally they're more Lloyd Dyer or Anthony Knockaert than Riyad Mahrez (of course we don't need them to be as good as Mahrez but we will need better than Dyer & Knockaert). The division as a whole feels closer in quality to League One in 2008/09 than The Championship in 2013/14 (and in my opinion the best 11 from 2013/14 would beat the best 11 from the current squad at this stage in our development). Sometimes I think maybe I am just underestimating how good we are in our own right but there's too many basics that we're getting wrong (but getting away with) for me to think maybe I am not. That said, Hermansen has definitely got it and Winks too though I still feel in the PL less of a string-puller. I have high hopes for Akgün. As inferred above youngsters have chance to develop & grow. Others have enough to be part of a PL squad but I am less sure that we'd want to rely on them week in week out.

Great post from buzz.
For me it's Hermanse and Winks, beyond that unless a youngster or two really comes through, we're going to have to spend a fair bit to have a decent go at survival in the Prem. I hadn't realised how big the difference in class between the Prem and the Championship was.

They're mostly kids. Kids get bigger, stronger, and the smart ones learn. A kid busting his balls is always gonna be more effective than a fat, head-wobbling "don't wanna-be-here". I've no concerns.

I would say half of or current team wouldn’t be starters (if we go up)
Starters..
Hermansen
Ricardo
Faes
Doyle
Dewsbury Hall
Akgun
Fatawu
Mavididi
