that players seem to be flocking to (including kante).
my limited understanding is that there is concern PIF is behind it all and overpaying for players to clubs it allegedly has a stake in to get around FFP. So buying a 25 mill player for 47, pumps an extra 22 mill into a club that it wouldn't get from any other transfer deal. A bit like what some clubs tried to do with sponsorship deals a few years ago??
is that right or have i been infected by the boards conspiracy stooges virus??

It’s becoming an alternative to China or America when you’re fairly decent and are looking for one more pay day.

We cant compete with the Saudi's when it comes to wages. If your talented to play football for a living it's a short career if you can stay injury free. If your offered so much to play in Saudi Arabia you would take it, good luck to them.

That depends on whether you want to play in a competitive League, or not.

Maybe Saudi will achieve the dream where plenty of others have failed before them. Lineker to Grampus Eight is an early example.

I know the Saudis are extremely well off, but surely these clubs are a drain, do they generate any income. No interest in these teams, so know zilch.

Saudi produces 9 million barrels of oil a day, 77 dollars a barrel = 693,000,000 dollars that’s £ 542,369,520.00 A Day!!! Are they bothered about income 🤷‍♂️

I know that, but what's the point in paying silly fees and wages? No bodies interested, pointless

look at how much they have paid into other sports, golf, horse racing F1 its to paint a picture of what a great country they are, never mind the odd flogging or beheading!
Dunno if it's working though. I reckon I hear more about the bad bits than before they started targeting sport.

Why would Neves choose to go at 27, he’s already made a fortune out the game and still has one big move left,
He could continue playing at a high level and the go for the coin at 31.
It makes sense if you only see football as a living but if you enjoy it and are competitive why throw it all away at such a young age.

While I agree it's a short career, but it's not the same as it was in the 60's when you ended up running a pub. They earn vast amounts of money these days, much more than they can spend, so it's basically down to greed.

Wouldn't it be nice if some of them took the Saudi pound and gave it all back to a charity to help the boys from the 60's?

Talk of being loaned back to Newcastle. It is all a FFP scam.

Two better backed teams and a load of also-rans.

Sort of like the Scottish Prem but with oil, money & sunshine....
