Tielmans

Since his initial loan period in 2019 when I though after 3 or 4 games we had a damned
Good holding midfield with the abilities to think moves ahead of his teammates it now
Irritates me to see talent wasted on what looks to me to be fitness levels.
Surely to goodness being fit is one of the principals of a footballer but other than that
his control has gone to pieces this Season
and l can't get my head around this especially as he is up for grabs in his last Season here
He is one of the reasons for our decline but only one ......but when your main man looks to have lost all of his instincts where can you go ....oh for the Tielemans of 2020l/21

I'm not convinced he's as good as all the hype hence the reason nobody is rushing to offer him a deal, if he was anything near the quality some city fans think he is there would of been clubs fighting over signing him on the cheap in January never mind now for free

Trouble is he has digressed he is nowhere near the player that we initially bought

For what it’s worth I thought he was our best player in both the seasons we finished 5th. His passing at times was outstanding and he also scored some great goals. I don’t think he has ever been a ‘holding’ midfielder, he is (was) much better when we had the ball. The reason he won’t ever be a very top player is his lack of pace … but I’m certain he can still be a very decent Premier League midfielder.. & possibly a captain.

The real question is what happened around Christmas 2021. He has had very few good games since then & he has been awful in quite a few .. the cup loss to Forest was a shocker.

I think it was around then that he decided that he no longer wanted to play for Leicester / Rodgers (or possibly both). His attitude, form and fitness have all gone steadily down since then.

It’s going to be very interesting to see where his intentions lie. If he wants CL football he’ll 100% have to move abroad. But it won’t be Italy or Spain. He might go to somewhere like Brighton but I don’t believe it’s the type of club he wants

Four years is a considerable chunk of a pro- footballer’s career. And a considerable amount of time to be mismanaged, ‘malcoached’ and have introduced to their environment a selection of muppets masquerading as fellow footballers.
Tielemens’ career is absolutely a victim of the Rodgers catastrophe as much as anything or anybody else.

Under the guidance and discipline of a proper manager, I’d imagine the mardiness would have been erased, the fitness improved, and combined with the obvious talent the lad has, could have made a very good player.

Funnily enough l was just about to post my thoughts on Tielemens.

He can pass a ball and hit a shot, everything else is useless. Two years ago he was costing us goal after goal through giving the ball away in midfield ridiculously easy.
I wanted him dropped at the time. He would give the ball away and cause a scare, or a goal, 5 times a game. Because he looks elegant on the ball he was thought of as a brilliant player, when in truth hes been a liability, he still is and l think he is the second, maybe first main reason of where we are right now.

He got away with it because we had injuries and there were worse players to blame for our losses. Almost every player got the blame for bad results but not him, when it was him losing the ball and putting inferior standard players who couldn't deal with premier strikers . Hes nothing but a luxury player.

We have a luxury player in Maddison, you can't have two, especially one doing nothing except causing us trouble defensively.

LCFC is a billion pound business and if we haven't got anyone analysing each player and identifying weaknesses then we are being run like a Welk stall. Soumare is a complete joke of a player, but Tielemens has deceived us ever since we had a bad injury list.

I would be happy, in fact, l want him to fuck off and never wear our shirt again, same as that fat lazy pig next to him.

I do analyse things to obsession and I'm telling you we will be 100% better without him.

Fuck sentimental shit about one shot at Wembley, thats the past, we now need to win, passengers need to be fucked off and we need a team who will do their job.

If Smith realises that this 2 have to be dropped, then we can win, and we can go Newcastle and win, if he doesn't hes not good enough to be a Premier manager, or a league manager actually. UTFC

I would be surprised if a PL club came in for him, if so he would only be a squad player.
I was talking to my mate who's a Liverpool fan today, he said that they had been interested in him. He said hes watched him and he doesn't want him anywhere near his club.

Hes right, hes fraud in the same way has TCR.

Unlikely Smith will take that view, considering he’s made him captain

we are going to be in serious trouble then tomorrow night.

He took him off at Fulham along with the fat lazy pig, so there's hope.

If he watched the Fulham game, of which he should, to find out what went wrong, then he'll see Teilemens doing nothing and Soumare giving them 4 goals. Its a Welk stall (as Soho would say) not a professional sports club.

That display from the two of them was criminal…. they should literally be sacked on the spot.
But there’s two different scenarios there, I think with expert coaching Tielemens could have been very good, whereas Soumare needs to retrain for Dyno Rod.

The John Percy article in another thread says Mendy is to be selected

As TopFox says. On his day, he looks as if he would walk intonany team in the prem. But, he cant produce it anywhere near often enough. If he could, he would never have played for us in the first place.

Ok Roofers, who's good at sums?
Tielemens cost us £32,000,000 plus his wages, was that for 3 years?
So how much as he cost us per game, alot of money if you ask me?

Wiki when we hired him before buying him
Said he was a holding midfielder with an eye for long range passing and the eye for a goal

He’s played nearly 150 games for us. At around £3m/year for 4.5years that’s a wage circa £14m. So £46m total. That’s around £300k per game.
I’ve double checked as I thought that can’t be right but it is and I’ve only put him on £60k/week. No wonder we’re in the shit

He’s always reminded me of a modern day Steve Thompson, great eye for a pass and scores some spectacular goals. He’s not defensive in the slightest and never needed to be as we had an in form Ndidi playing there.
He not a number 10 either, but can play the killer ball.
For me still one of our greatest midfielders but could have done so much more.
