The music was thud like.
With the passing of Gordon we were wallowing in nostalgia last night about lost record shops of Hinckley, got all of the usual suspects, Russells, HSC, What!, Nervous, Shooting Star and WH Smith/Woolworths with record bars. but there was one on the Wollies side of Castle Street, can you remember it? I don't think it was there long, possibly mid-nineties
 
Total guess here, but in this photo from 1995 - there appears to be an image that looks like Kurt Cobain in the window. To the left of the bloke in the light blue shirt. Was this the record shop? Was this even a record shop?

No man, well spotted though, that shop was a card shop, Clintons? a bit further down was the record shop, I'm sure it was a double fronted
 
Sorry Micky can’t remember that one, I’d been left Hinckley nearly 20 years by then, earlier there was Jacques//Rediffusion in Castle Street and the Lawns and one very short lived one at the bottom of Castle Street opposite Burtons , rip Gordon…
