Must be good exercise picking the ball out the net so many times for our goalie. What a moral boosting fixture to play in, it must help to build confidence ready for taking the next step up. I don't think so.
 
You couldn't say there was a rush of academy players ready to spring forward to push some of our old timers.

My problem is that have you seen the number of staff it takes to run these academy sides . If there is any little prospect for future first team squad involvement for these players, it just seems a costly and pointless exercise.

You cannot just blame it on a young age thing either, in other sports people have become world champions several times over by this age.
