Because Southampton "had a go", and possession was about 50:50, there wasn't often much space in behind him, which played to his strengths. Plus he had JJ alongside, who is rapid. And of course their goal came from a transition, a quick long through ball, and he never caught up.

But he was good in the air, he has composure, and he is a good passer forward. Enzo is definitely looking for the latter two qualities in his centre backs

My Wolves mates all love Coady but the reckon he's best in a centre 3. Be interesting to see, I think Doyle has had a couple of dodgy games and would probably also be better on the left side of 3 centre halves.
