The revised 'legacy form' CL is expected to be agreed this week, unfortunately. I assume this ESL nonsense is being given an airing again by the BCECs just as a reminder to UEFA that they need to get it agreed...
 
A big Super League club has just been pegged back by a little old town side from up north and with only a population of 100,00 souls.
 
This isn't about England and English fans. This is about super rich foreign owners wanting to screw as much money as possible via television deals from the billions of 'fans' in Asia and elsewhere. Even if they back down they'll eventually get what they want. It's less than 30 years since they did the same thing to create the Premier League.
By "they" I mean the big clubs, not their current owners. Obviously their owners at the time were the old guard of Peter Hill-Wood, Martin Edwards etc. Still motivated by greed of course.
 
I don't think it would be popular even amongst the fans of those six.
There is nothing more boring than a closed shop league. If you not competing to win it, then there is very little attraction for those languishing further down.

Said if any of the 6 clubs have signed this they should relegate the lot and give the title to Burnley or Fulham cos they are the History of the game.

If they banned the players from every level of professional football, then soon as they are rejected by these ' super clubs' their careers are over.
Players would then need to seriously think about the consequences of joining the league of greed.
It would be helpful if all major networks shunned it.
 
Their plans depend on a compliant TV service, an area in which we have power as Paddys says...
It's what happens when you allow international profiteers into the game, they want to run it.
 
It beggars belief that both Arsenal and Tottenham are even included.

I mean fucking Spurs the team that barring a couple of domestic cups have won the square root of fuck all for decades.
Arsenal managed one CL final in nearly 30 years. Bayern and PSG would currently beat a combined best of what the two London frauds have to offer, and they ain't involved .Joke.
