Who scored in your 1st game?

Just under 40,000 crowd

Was that when we were 3-0 up in less than 15 minutes
I can't remember, Peatling - I was just so overwhelmed by the whole experience from what looked like going up some terraced house side alley to get in the Popular Side, the rush of being in a 40,000 crowd in a ground that was bursting at the seams and the whole wave upon wave of skill and energy from a team that I didn't know and players I had barely heard of (apart from Banks and Doog).
It was an experience I had never felt before and the game passed by in a blur.
I was hooked.

Jimmy Walsh and Gordon Wills.
Leicester 2 Everton 0 , 1961.
I had been to earlier games but too young to remember. A big win in the FA Cup against Bristol City is in my mind somewhere but no great detail.

…….might have been Leicester 5 Bristol City 1 FA Cup.
Jimmy Walsh 2, Ken Leek 2 , Gordon Wills.

the opposition, 4 times in the first match to no reply. In the first 3 games I saw Leicester City did score a single goal. At least there was a 0-0 draw!

We didn’t score. Lost 1-0 at home to Port Vale. They scored in first minute or two then nothing happened the rest of the match. Born sadist.

Frankie Wortho & The Birch, beat Palace 2-1 on December 23 1972, so probably my Xmas present.
I sat on the wall by the tunnel, can't remember anything else of the match.

A Frank Worthington penalty & a Chris Garland brace against West Ham on April Fool's day (well, night) 1975. Thanks Dad.

I believe I went to earlier matches but no recollection and sadly now nobody to ask.
First one I definitely remember was on a frozen pitch just after Xmas 65 aged 7. Thrashed Fulham 5-0

Sinclair 2
Gibson
Roberts
Stringy

However I’m pretty convinced I went to the Man Utd game the previous month where they tanked us 5-0 at FS. Best Charlton Connelly and Herd 2. I remember them being applauded off

First game on my own as a twelve year old was Bradford Park Avenue 1949 Jack Lee scored but going escorted by Grandad would 1942 ain't got a clue even if we scored as it was the Wartime Leaguep

Andy lochhead, for Burnley lost 0-2.
