So to get out of this current financial predicament, what are the solutions ?

1. Get promoted, get a points deduction, take the Premier League money for a season and then get relegated?

2. Irrespective of where we finish this season, sell anyone that other teams are interested in before the end of June?

3. Somehow find a huge investor to write off what we owe, or is that too late already ?

Feel free to add your own options, I’m still struggling to get my head round it all.

All I can think of, as well as having ludicrous wages for past players and a few current, is that had we cashed in and got transfer fees for Soyuncu, Amartey, Schmeichel, Tielemans etc we wouldn’t be in this mess ?

Is that correct ?

There is only one choice here. 1 and deal with whatever happens after it happens. It might not mean relegation next season even though it probably does.

The second one won’t make a blind bit of difference in the grand scheme of things.

And 3 doesn’t mean you can spend any of it.

If this is all down to Rudkin he needs fucking off asap.

Not getting promoted and we will be truly fucked.
We will end up with a very weak team at championship level. Then we will be a long way behind the relegated clubs. and will probably be looking at trying to stay out of League 1.
The only way I can see is your 1st option.
The problem the club may have then is trying to get people to pay to watch a team in the Prem that could be the equivalent or worse than Sheff United.
It does seem that any promotion will almost certainly be followed by instant relegation.
At least that way they can begin to steer clear of the clutches of FFP and begin the long road back.
The way the club has developed over the last 10 years, it's starting to feel like a Cinderella story and we are about to go full circle and back to being the irrelevant little old Leicester.
Frankly after weeks and weeks of watching us and feeling nervous about our chances of promotion, I suddenly have no feelings today.
I can't be bothered, for me itt doesn't matter whether we win or lose. Thanks to the powers that be, all the angst, enjoyment, frustration and whatever feelings you get from a promotion campaign have been wiped away.
As always it's the fans that suffer the most.
Players and manager won't give two hoots and will go, we will all be left with a carcass of our beloved football club.
It's been a fabulous journey, at least those caants cants take that away from us.

Crap, overpaid signings on long contracts who no-one else wants/can afford equals a massive queue in the Seagrave long stay car park. We'll have to take our medicine.
It's a joke that the likes of Chelski, Man City and Co can employ ridiculously expensive lawyers to delay their own shortcomings and punishments for months on end though.

In the past we have had a few players we could sell for big money, now we have very few assets when you take contracts into consideration..

I wonder if the massively overspending Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Notts Forest & Everton will be joining us in this massive free fall through the Leagues, got a sick feeling that we are going to miss out on automatic promotion this season and we enter the lottery of the play offs with the likes West Brom, Hull, Preston, Cov and 1 from Leeds, Southampton & Ipswich.. Then we see what happens with the players we are left with…

Get promotion then we do a Sheff U, get relegated and scrummage around in The Championship with gates of 22.000
Or... miss out on promotion, sell any decent players and scrummage around in The Championship with gates of 22.000
Either way the outlook is bleak based on bad transfers in, too many players out for free and high wages for ordinary players
As for the stadium expansion etc - Forget it

Rudkin should have been sacked 2 years ago he is a utter cunt

Even mega rich Newcastle are finding the rules dehabilitating.
It's a shame that all those outside the BCC's don't take it up with the monopolies commission and challenge the current rules and regs.

A question.

Would you prefer clubs to take full responsibility for their finances ( spend what they want with no limits) and run the risk of administration/liquidation but also allowing fans to dream that they can still challenge the elite

Or

Be controlled by FFP where your club will always have a team but one that as got no chance of progression beyond mediocrity?

First one. If someone wants to pump money into your club, like Vichai did when he first arrived, I want to be able to dream.

its bent, always as been always will be.

but Forest do deserve to be docked, thats only fair whatever world your in.
Told you 2015/16 has a lot to answer for it shook everyone to there boots.
They had spent there money and saw no return and an upstart fucked it up bigtime
Its never been the same since.
Megamoney has influenced the Football League especially the Premiership where all the bigtime charlies are, weshook the world and they didn't likewhat they saw

2. You can only sell if you’re actually making a profit on the player.

How can you get transfer fees for players if they refuse to leave or the offer on the table means you make a loss?

2 things changed after we won the league to stop us and the like winning the Premier League and helping the Rich top 6 to continue at the top…
The bent VAR system and its feckin cheating officials, the so called big clubs get the majority of the decisions go there way…
5 subs from 9, in all cases with the feckin big clubs they have a bench full of internationals that cost more then the squads of the whole teams of clubs in the bottom half of the table.
All the top clubs pay millions for players and spread the cost over 6,7,8 seasons avoiding FFP questions, Chelsea are the kings of this, I bet they still owe us money for Fofana and Newcastle still owe money for Barnes, the only club to have paid in full is Spurs for Maddison as they knew they got a massive bargain for him…

This is from a mate of mine.

- The EFL tried to put us into Special Measures because we're forecast
to break PSR by the end of June
- But turns out they didn't have the authority (a loophole), but we've
pissed them off now
- We didn't get Senzi over the line because we couldn't afford to break
PSR this year which pissed off Enzo.
- We'll now have to have a player fire sale at the end of the season to raise funds to avoid a points penalty next season (all those players on big contracts ending leaving for free doesn't help this FY.
- (other EFL Clubs are seething because they want it this season to stop us going up)
- But another loophole because we were in the Prem means it has to wait
- Last season we got relegated from the EPL because we tried to stay
within PSR and bought zero players in the Summer
- But left a useless and pissed-off Brendan Rodgers in charge who clearly didn't give a toss along with many of the players whose contracts were ending.
- And now it turns out that in the panic buying we did in January we broke EPL PSR for last season anyway
- cf. Everton who ignored PSR in the Summer but stayed up by a point, taking -6 points this year
- We thought about suing Everton for the financial gain they had of breaking PSR but staying up (just for the lolz I guess)
- We are now facing two points deductions next season.

Post-Vichai running of the club is an absolute shambles!

We'll be very lucky if Enzo is still here next season. The only glimmer of hope is that this generates a siege mentality to get us promoted and then the mother of all battles to stay up starting on minus 12.

is that two points deduction or 12?

the money is controlled by the likes of Nike and Adidas, l sat one morning in Majorca earwigging a group of football agents and basically thats what they were referring too.

The advertising pays for Sky etc and the shirt logos is the advertising, they were saying how houses are brought for 12 year olds parents, how they give the kids local team all boots, kits, travel, facilities -everything.

They were saying how Man City were getting kids off clubs like Newcastle (this was a few years ago and they were talking about Sturrange and his uncle as his agent).

Its all rigged, l totally believe all the changes in the rules are to fiddle results.

When we looked unstoppable in 16, they started sending our players off. The didn't mind us winning, but they needed it to got to the wire so that tens of millions would watch a two horse race as long as possible.

I think we are getting shit decisions now, and this FFP might be another tool to reign us back.

Bent as arseholes all of it.

By the way, yes, l am a nosey cunt !

This mate of yours, does he actually work for the EFL or EPL or is he doing what many others are doing and hazarding a guess as to what may happen?
