Ashes

Yeah, but IF they had of taken a couple of wickets & gone on to win it would of been hailed as one of the greatest declarations ever.
Fine margins & all that.

Except they only had 4 overs at the Aussies.
Had they got 10-12 overs at them I would have been more supportive of the decision.
It just felt like we let them off the hook when they were starting to look deflated.
Still a great Test match, but I fear that might be the closest we get to beating them this series.
Hope I am wrong.

Who do you think you are, Ben Stokes?

You have to play the match as it is in front of you. I understand why he did it and hindsight is a wonderful thing, but even at the time I thought and said it was a crazy decision. Ultimately it was the wrong decision.

Two lower order batsmen and I’d have backed his decision but tell Root to get 10 an over and if he gets out he gets out.

And Saturday morning it felt like good bowling conditions so declare overnight.

A great advert for Test cricket. Edgbaston is by far the best Test ground for atmosphere.

Lyon's the pantomine villain at times but that shot over long on in the final few minutes was epic.
Edgbaston and Headingley are both on a par with each other. The bit of a roof helps at Edgbaston with the sound.
