Bit sluggish at the moment.

If the current volume of 'positive vibes' continues unabated til May, with more and more smoke blown up assorted arses, there'll be virtually no-one prepared for the harsh reality of the PL ;)

You're falling for the hype. It's a poor Div2 we're in. Everyone's banging on about us being a PL team – at that level, we're pretty woeful.
So TopFox, tell us in your view what you expect from a team and club in transition after the last few years that we have had?
We have a whole new manager and back room staff. Gone are the likes of Stowell and Adam Sandler (or whatever his name) and we are playing a new type of football that keeps us on the edge of our seats at both ends of the pitch.
Where do you think we should be? How should we be playing ? How many more points should we already have?
After the last few days of what this site has been through, 3 points is a nice distraction and seeing your continued negativity is not needed.

Good win. Tough opponent. They put us under pressure in good spells tonight and we defended well.
Would rather win ugly than lose playing beautiful.
Another win and 3 points towards our overall goal this season.
That's my take as well. Sunderland were decent, and we were not at our best, but still ground out a win, with another clean sheet.

How many saves did Mads have to make?

Is it any poorer than normal?
We have no idea how this team would look in the PL but we probably look better than the bottom six and will improve.
I suspect it's likely to be poorer year on year, if only on the basis that the PL clubs are increasingly hoovering up virtually anyone who can kick a ball straight, or even half-straight.
Last year's 3 up are tending to support that view.
Try counting up each game the number of times our defensive mistakes would be pounced upon in the PL, the number of times that better forwards would draw pens, the number of free-kicks in dangerous positions that would be scored, the piss-poor standard of corners, and so on.
Don't get me wrong, it's great to win games, but it's all about levels for me.

So you're now the judge of what's needed on here? Fuck off.
Continued negativity? From when? From saying that TCR was a cunt last season?
The point I make is very simple. It's all about levels.
'Best set of results in our history' maybe, but they're not achieved in the only division that currently, and more likely than not will ever again, really counts.
(I won't point out the enormous financial advantage that we're at over virtually every other club at this level, cos there's enough fans from other clubs doing that.)

What do you mean “levels”? What are levels?
We are in the second tier of football which is our current level and up to now, we are doing everything we should. Should we be doing more?
Why not enjoy our best set of results in our history? After the last 18 months, it certainly feels good and makes a change. Are we wrong for enjoying it?
You won’t point out our enormous financial advantage (yet by mentioning it, you did point it out). Is that our fault? Should we not spend so that others can catch up?
It’s almost as though you are waiting for the wheels to fall off so that you can tell everyone how silly they were for getting overexcited and happy and feeling positive for our current performance. I really hope you have a long wait.
And before you ask, do I think we could get away with these performances in the premier league? No I don’t. But we ain’t in the premier league and so we can only play and beat who is in front of us. And we did that tonight.
Where I was sitting, the atmosphere was good. Giving the ref some jip felt like old times. If and when we win the championship, maybe we should see if we can apply for re-election to the championship. Much more fun.

First full game I have seen this season as I don't do streaming. I thought we played well for 60 minutes and could easily have scored 3. Then we sat back and it got a bit fraught but we saw it out. Talk of how we would fare in the PL is premature. Hopefully we will go up and can strengthen as necessary next summer.

See post 13, that I commented on – which you leapt upon.
If you can't understand what levels means, I can't be arsed to explain. And I'm certainly not going to ask for your view on anything.
See also post 25, which hopefully will dispel your fucking nonsense ideas about what what I want to happen.
