Boro thread

Had enough chances to win it but failed to take them.
Great fee kick to win it.
On the whole, not quite good enough today.
Mavadidi bang average today, needless fouls & poor delivery
 
Wont be getting promoted on this sort of performance and results. Some Might say we got unlucky hit the post ect but we just bore the hell out of it and pass it around. I’m the past the opposition would tire out but now they have learnt to make late subs and counter well.
 
Mentality is shocking,
Mavadidi is like a petulant kid. Gets the ball taken off him time & time again & then just comes back a kicks the player that did it.
That Jones had him in his pocket.
& To go a goal down with 11 minutes remaining & then never once again see the boro keeper, let alone trouble him is pathetic.
We’ve all said this standard in the championship is poor. Opposition Miss plenty of chances etc etc & we fit right in unfortunately. Kdh / mavadidi & inheacho’s shooting is beyond poor.

When you play to tight margins it only takes a bit of skill to take it away.
We need an uplift .......by the way did anyone notice Faes looked as though he couldn't care less
 
All seemed ridiculously rosy when we had a chance to go 17pts clear with a result against Leeds, then 2 ' ordinary ' performances and the gap is as good as halved.
We are suddenly the out of form team at the top end.
Leeds, Ipswich and others are really firing.
Feel that poor performance against Leeds knocked the stuffing out of us and set the tone for today.
Probably for the first time this season I genuinely feared us getting a result before k.o.
Worst of all the international shite forces us to suck it up for 2 weeks and for us to try and get back on track.
Time to see what Enzo is made of because they need to take a look at themselves after that.

2 failures against teams that didn't buy into the ' too good for this division bollox '
Makes us look like flat track bullies. Teams that don't fear us know they can get something.

Perhaps some of our lot have bought into the media shite and started to think we only have to turn up.
So work to do. First big reality check since relegation, if we are the real deal then they need to bounce back straight the way.
I said last week I d take any type of win, right now we could use an ugly one just to kick start us again
 
The fear factor is gone. Leeds showed that theres not much to be scared of if you go toe to toe with us, and practically emailed their findings to the rest of the league.

You’re being generous, the last 4 performances have been very ordinary.
The worry was & will be for quite some time is enzo’s complete lack of managerial experience. It was a huge risk by top employing a person at this stage of his career when it’s so so important to go straight back up.

Judging by comments on here over the last couple of months I am not a mug enough to know that we have been fortunate in numerous games this season.
The weaker teams at the start of the season succumbed to our obsessive possession and we seemingly run the legs out of them.
First Sunderland and then more so Leeds said ' fuck that we will make you work '
They both caused us problems of which Leeds thoroughly deserved to win and burst the bubble.

Have we been found out? Probably.
Remind you of anything?
2015-16 ?

We were barnstorming in the first half of the season. Scoring great goals from the transition of play, ripped teams apart at times.
Then what happened? Opposing managers look at what we were doing. They soon realised that them going gung-ho against us was our strength.
We nick the ball, lightening break up the field and GOAL !!!!
So they made sure they were covered better in defence to nullify our pace.
The 2nd half of that miracle season was tougher for us, but we had such quality that we could still get results, albeit in a different way.

This season it seems to me that if teams are negative against us, we will lap up possession and get our chances somewhere in the game.
Alternatively teams that are taking us on are not going to wilt so easy because they not chasing the ball so much, whilst also giving us plenty to think about.

So imo this is where we find out if Enzo can do anything other than play this style.
For a team that's top and there to be shot at, he can't keep saying that the performance's are alright if we keep losing especially when the defeats are not unlucky. He may well need to be brave and be prepared to compromise his tactics. Top teams only have mini blips, because the best managers don't take long to solve problems.

KDH can’t work out how to lose a marker.

Iheanacho looks like he knows he’s off to pastures new in January.
 
We've lost 3 games all season so far.
I don't get all the negativity.
We shud have won today, poor finishing on our part and they got a wonder goal.
It's no where near as bad as TCR, it does need to be quicker but we've only played 16 games under this system.
We'll go up.
No doubt some will still moan because we've not won every game.
