Brentford Nylon Match Thread

Might not go down well with others on here, but I won't lose sleep over an FA cup exit.
Full tilt at the Prem and progress as far as poss in the Europa will be enough for this season.

Difficult decision when given the choice. It's a very packed and demanding season, so if I were to choose any competition to sacrifice it would probably also be the FA Cup. I think in 2016 we also benefitted from the lack of other demanding games.

Lets see how far we can go with the stiffs then, and if we find ourselves in the Final, then that's great.
First year I've felt this way tbf. I've always been 'up for the cup'. Maybe it's the no fans thing? Had some great away trips in the cup over the years. Including Brentford last year.

I assume Mendy is injured.

9 changes (rested up for Everton) and go for it.

To go half hearted, be it team selection or attitude into sundays game Would be crazy. Surely we’ve had enough of that shit over the last few years when being dumped out by a very beatable & weakened chelsea or Man City.
Blimey, we even know our 5th round opponents if we get through & you couldn’t ask for much more.
Having the attitude to go for trophies will not only make players we have think why would I be looking elsewhere when we are always in the mix, but would be encouraging next level players To want to come.

If Mendy is fit, play him alongside Choudhury, play Tielemens further forward (for Perez) and play Perez up top instead on Nacho.

Never play Nacho.
& never play choudhury & mendy together or ndidi & mendy or ndidi & choudhury.
Detrimental to our team to play 2 dm’s.
Only teams who have no players who can create things play 2 dm’s

We know the next two games are kind. Given we’ve not made a semi final since 82 with a reasonable quarter final draw it could be a relatively smooth passage to Wembley and one we should aim for.

Of course we’ll probably lose to Brentford now!

Swanland, instead of sacrificing a competition maybe we all could just kill a pigeon or any animal of your choice.

Toney, their top scorer was red carded with a Luton player in the 90+ min, so he will be suspended against City. 16 games unbeaten now though.

Filbo, taken from their web site: Toney suspension will be against Leicester where he probably wouldn't have played so that's a bonus.

Think they're wrong. YT would've missed Everton had he been booked last night, not Brentford.
Yeah rule change (that I'm not sure only applies to EPL) states that as of 19/20 season suspensions can only be used against league games. Thankfully didn't come into use for Tielemans either way.
