Sarge, this is a question borne of ignorance - which bit of the cob is “dipped”? I’ve clearly lived in the US too long, ‘cause I couldn’t figure it out.
I don't know what a splash is. A dipped cob is submerged in what I assume is dripping and comes out brown on the inside. Probably not good for the arteries but tastes bloody lovely.
Very sad, been going to Rialto for brekkie before awaydays for many years. Proper cafe grub cooked & presented just right. Lovely owners, another small family business gone to the wall.
