Hi. This 77-80 million - do you have a sauce? Just to help out - water companies talk in terms of population equivalent which helps them convert waste from industry into the equivalent number of people who might use/generate the same amount of waste.Hi Glimmer, I have no idea of the number of properties but there are thousands of multi-generational homes and multi occupancy flat and apartments. To be honest I really have no idea of what the population of the UK actually is, five years ago the water companies estimated 77-80 million based on the quantity of human waste, probably more now.
However, what I do no is the huge expansion of the population in west London, where I have lived most of my life, I have lived through it and seen it happen. This is the primary reason we moved out to the relative peace of Dorset.
Nah. mostly it is just what I see around me. Huge surge in births in the last decade or so, much larger families too.Hi. This 77-80 million - do you have a sauce? Nice swerveNah. mostly it is just what I see around me. Huge surge in births in the last decade or so, much larger families too.
Lots of EU citizens under freedom of movement but not counted by Border force, illegals of all kinds, many living 'off the grid', the government offer no figures so we have to speculate. The number of NI numbers suggest a much high number, as does the demands on health services and education.
As I said earlier in the thread, I simply do not believe the government or it's tame media, as always, I encourage everyone to make up their own minds, look at what is happening and work it out for yourself.
If you don't believe me or if you think you know differently, that's fine. You are the ones who will have to deal with it, I'm too old for it to impact my life that much.
I practice.Nice swerve
How quickly did you think we should leave after the referendum?I practice.
As I said in an earlier post (#36), much of what I post is driven by the disconnect between what we are being told and what I can see with my own eyes.
The event that really brought this to my attention was Cameron's 'big lie' in 2016, you know the one about 'implementing the result of the referendum', since then I have treated everything said by the government and their compliant media as, at best, a half truth.
So I write about this, in some instances I may get some of the details or the numbers wrong, I am no 'insider', I have no more information than the rest of us but I do think I have a decent appreciation of when I am being lied to.
Evening hackney. How quickly did you think we should leave after the referendum?
Weeks or months?
I noticed. Here's the thing. A post based on nothing other than limited personal experience is interesting but has limited credibility.. However, you draw credibility to your observations by quoting what sounds like a credible source which when challenged you row back from - leaving us with just your personal observations. That's fair enough - at that level they are interesting and have value but for this reader that's as far as it goes.I practice.

Fair comment #homes, good to get a more thoughtful response.I noticed. Here's the thing. A post based on nothing other than limited personal experience is interesting but has limited credibility..
