4.3.3
Rest Vardy, Iheanacho was dogshite when he came on Friday, Enzo isn’t keen on Daka so play Mavididi up top with 2 wingers…

I think this is where we’ll start to see a ‘Man City’ type selection whereby some will play who didn’t on Friday and change again for next Saturday. It’s a long hard season and he knows it, so I reckon they’ll be plenty of Tinkerman tactics coming up

We have a good enough bench to be able to do this.
I think squad depth will be a major factor this season. We've already seen it with all the games where we've finished strongly and scored late goals - we just have more quality on the bench that most other teams in the division, so are able to tilt games strongly in our favour in the latter stages. This will also apply to our ability to rotate between matches - we will be able to rest more players without suffering a major drop off in performance. Over 46 games, that will be a massive advantage.

Agreed but think he needs resting
JJ
Coady
Faes
That’s the best back 3 for me .
Thought JJ was a bit (understandably) rusty in the first half but really stepped up after Sulemana left him for dead when he first came on.
Vestergaard had a really good game and we haven't yet seen Coady play, think we're all now expecting him to be sublime as he's seemingly improved week by week whilst out injured.

It will be great when he is back in the team full time as the only thing we look to be lacking at this point is a real leader on the pitch especially at the back... he absolutely must be Captain !

Just read that Cannon was injured when we signed him.
Surely that’s a very big gamble to sign a player that must have failed his medical ?

You don't fail your medical just because of an injury, Maddison was 'injured' when we signed him.
I would have thought a stress fracture of the back was enough to cause concern.
How did he complete the rest of his medical when in such a state of incapacity ?
Buying a player who they knew was injured, and could be out for months or the whole season is to me, a big gamble.

It does seem like a gamble, but maybe it was a 'now or never' moment where we had a unique opportunity to get somebody on the cheap who has the potential to be a major star in the future...?

I’m sure our medical team know what they’re doing …………

I don’t think it’s a big gamble. £7m in todays world is peanuts. Hopefully as I’ve said earlier hopefully he’ll be back in a couple of months.

Sorry got my zeros mixed up, it's actually 4,775 tonnes based on the June commodity price

Fuck, that is so sad.
