Day 1 at Tramlines Festival.

It’s a really great festival, we’ll ran and plenty going on.

It’s up at Hillsbrough Park has 5 stages and a diverse amount of music for all tastes.

There is also The Fringe around the pubs in the city and a small stage in the centre of town.

Yesterday I got in early to see Shed Seven kick it off then headed to the second stage to see August Charles (nowt special) then Coach Party who were excellent and who I’ll see again.

I then popped to a small stage to see Gum Disease who call themselves a Trans Clown Punk Band. Very odd and not that good but I stayed for the whole set. I won’t see them again.

Stopped off at the smallest stage to see In Here Brothers play some dance songs before catching James on the main stage.

We went to another stage at the back of the main field to see Working Mens Club before half an hour of Sam Fender. We bailed early and didn’t see all of his set to check into the hotel.

Had a few beers in town in the Frog and Parrot and saw a new small band from Manchester called Dr Dr who I can tell you were much better than Gum Disease. They claim it was their third ever gig, the place was packed and they rose to the occasion.

Plan for today is a few beers around the city and to get in for Sheafs at 3pm. Kasabian headline tonight I’m gonna be right down the front!!!

Tickets bought for next year.

Saturday was great. Sheafs were awesome as were another new band Crawlers. Kasabian were off the scale good. I was right at the front too moshing with all the young uns.

On Sunday I saw a decent 2 piece similar to Royal Blood, PerfectParachutePicture who knock around the North but are worth seeing if you get a chance. Wombats were also decent later in the day. Reverend and the Makers are always good but the best of the day for me were Sports Team.

I’d recommend it to anyone. Tickets are currently £140 for the weekend. You’ll also need accommodation though which is already pretty steep. The rumour is Pulp will headline after announcing they’re reforming for next year.
