Fuckin’ ‘ell he’s still alive. Just turned up at my house out of the blue. 2 hours talking to him then he left a few minutes ago for a doctors appointment. Still the same,grossly overweight but now quite bad on his legs and walking with a stick. He’s still driving a car.
Not seen or heard of him for ages before today. Last time he came round was when my late wife was still alive and she died 6 years ago. I reckon I hadn’t seen for around 8 years or so!
Same old Griff you can’t shut him up once he starts talking. He’s back on that site at Bulkington that his well dodgy Bedworth mates own!
 
Kin hell, I bet that was a shock to the system, I was only thinking of him the other day, we were on the way back from Ipswich, 1976? and we stopped at a pub on the way back, fuck knows where it was, can't remember but they had an old post-type pub sign and the daft sod climbed up it and sat up there drinking a pint
 
...It was a Wainfleet bus, I think Click was there, Jimmy Aitch, Ada, Pat J, Dave Collinson, a proper posse. I was only a pup

I think that pub was a sort of road house type place on the A47. Just before the roads split going east,one way for Norwich the other for Ipswich.
A14 probably a better,faster route nowadays!
