It was with great astonishment,wonder and awe as I watched you scaling the dizzying heights of the north face of Northampton’s Annapurna at the conclusion of today’s match. As I explained to you from the relative safety of base camp Sherpa Tenborbage was just not up to the task of joining you in your epic climb. The adverse prevailing windy conditions,precipitous rainfall and my heart condition precluded any chance of me joining the expedition.

I assume the hat was well secured lest the wind blew it off and he had to chase it back down the treacherous incline?
 
I'm pleased to say Mr. borebage that my mission was accomplished without the need for a supplementary oxygen supply, an ice axe, crampons or any other specialist mountaineering equipment. Who needs Sherpa Tenzing when such alpinism is a natural gift? My legs are killing me this morning mind.
 
I must admit good Sir that by the time your epic assent had reached the halfway point I was frantically googling for the phone number of the nearest emergency rescue services.
RAF Croughton is a warm friendly base and located near Brackley within the County of Northamptonshire. They have a nice brightly coloured helicopter with winch and are expert in the field of high altitude mountain rescue.
Very glad that they weren’t needed. No greater endorsement for those “wonder pills” you are currently taking could possibly be heralded!

and as for that bloody hill ... not called Wheezer for nothing. Almost as bad as back row at Hammers. Relief not to be going back there this season.
