Fofana

No one wants to see a pro sportsman's career blighted by or even worse ended by injury.

No worries for Chelsea though - am sure they will have appropriate insurance cover

From transfermarkt.com

I do actually feel a bit sorry for him. He missed about a 2/3 of his last season with us, one third of last season, and now he's out for many months again. Who knows whether these injuries actually are consequences of previous ones (it might be similar with Ricardo Pereira).
.
From our point of view we've been lucky to get as much money as we did, but I wouldn't want to wish ill harm on any sportsman.

Things have not turned out well for him with that move, have they? He's struggled with his form since he got there. He joined a team that he imagined would be challenging for top honours and then didn't. And now this...

It shows - from his selfish point of view - why he was probably right to do what he did. A footballers career can be very short, gotta get that big contract whilst you have the chance (specially if you've already missed a year thru injury).

Said when he left he was injury prone, the lad has a strange running action and is slight for a central defender. Saying that I do not wish him any harm, and hope he comes back to full fitness

How long a contract did he sign? Definitely got that right moving when he did and for a longer contract on better terms.
We pocketed a small fortune.

Only people to have lost out are Chelsea. Oh dear, how sad, never mind.
Didn’t he sign for seven years? That trick of theirs to get around FFP by signing players on very long contracts is really working out for them…

Fofana has never been right since his first injury with us, i am happy with the fee we got for him, he's Chelsea's problem now.

Going back a bit but ......
McLintock, Doog, Rodrigues, Lineker, Shilton, McAllister, Newell, Heskey, Lennon, Zagorakis, maybe some more.
Kalac did OK with Milan...
