Foxes Hub

Having been somewhat disengaged from all things Leicester for some time I was looking to get more involved.
To my horror I find that, having dropped out of the Prem, I now have to pay for the audio commentary for the game on saturday.
What was once a service for the fans has now been monetised as a 'pay for view/listen' product, particularly harsh as Championship games are rarely covered live by mainstream broadcasters.
Foxes Hub also offer some games (video) streamed live, not 3;00 saturday games but some others subject to 'conditions' but exactly what will be avilable is a bit obscure.
Anyone signed up for this? Any experience so far, such as costs?

Having spent much of the last year or so trying to keep well clear of hospitals, I think I might stear clear.

BBC might do the odd commentary but clearly not ideal, I dont like it but may have have to think about a basic pass. See how tomorrow goes.

It is not the money, it is the distain with which fans are treated that is the issue.

Pardon my iggerance but isn't it possible to get radio PSI on the interweb thingy?
Generally speaking local radio does not have the rights to broadcast live commentary, all the buildup but stops at kickoff.
In the Prem a live commentary was available most weeks, 5 Live, Talkshite etc.

Try Front Row sports it works for me ..log in just before kick off..if its sum caant yer cant stand doin in the commentary turn the sound down!!'

BBC Radio Leicester cover every game. Not sure if it’s broadcast on DAB or online but worth a try

I listened last week on the old steam radio for nowt...
In general terms the club say they are now bound by EFL terms which means charging for both audio and video broadcasts.
I have decided to buy in on a match by match basis of ten pound per match.
This is because all games at 3pm on Saturday are restricted to non UK viewers.
As the rest are likely moved to get on Sky or TNT anyway it seems daft to pay for watching in big lump sums.

Thought it was always that way. Liverpool were the first to monitise audio webcast in the early 2000's, then Leicester were in like a dirty shirt five minutes later:mad:

Yes. I believe that the game is broadcast locally but not online. Similar on DAB.
It is just the 3pm saturday games that are the issue. Back to trying to find an elicit stream online, don't like using them if they can be avoided.
I quite enjoyed listening on LCFC last year so maybe a basic pass?

Perhaps we should all band together and arrange a series of beacons ending at Old John, then a horse and four back to KP to find the score.
That’ll show ‘em.

Last year, and for as long as I can remember, the commentary was live on the LCFC website, just log in and listen live, no charge.

I know Im like a stuck record, but I just want roofers to see the games. Get a firestick, £40 or so, and Ill talk you through setting it up. Same goes for anyone. I dont make money on it.

Decent coverage in the second division?
What are the costs after getting the firestick?
Do you have to keep updating the software (got one a few years back and it drove me mad, didn't use it regularly and the was no linger working when I next tried)?

That is very kind of you. I am not a complete dummy in these matters but knowing someone is prepared to help if required is a real bonus.
Any idea as to how many of City's games are likely to be streamed? Is it possible to record the game in any way? ('timeshifting')

Not recording, but all games are on somewhere.

All games are on. £60 a year. No further costs. Im guessing that you were dabbling with Kodi a few years ago.

Correct it was kodi, this a plug and go then?
Yes. I set a mte up via a whatsapp video call last week!
Get stick.
plug in and register an amazon account. You will never pay via this account unless you wish to buy summat from them.
Set stick to download apps from unknown sources.
Install Telegram Messenger on your smart phone.
Install an app called Downloader to facilitate this, on your stick.
Download and install the IPTV app.
Buzz. my mucker Terry £60.
He sends you log in details via Telegram.
Enter them, cancel all Sky/ BT etc payments and watch as much footy, and loads, loads more, watch, enjoy.
You boys do my swede in, every game, fucking about with poxy streams. Its SIXTY QUID, to watch every TV channel you already had, abd many times more, too!

On reflection the Firestick type solution does not appear to work for me. I rarely watch any game live, for example an evening game may be recorded when we are having dinner and watched later when Mrs AFC has gone to bed.

Recording is possible but a huge faff to do I shall be sticking with Sky Sports on the Q box for the time being.

For the City games I am getting the basic audio package on Foxes Hub for a month to try, let you know how it goes.
