Harrison was at Seagrave last night

Medical was underway and then Leeds changed their minds. Rob Tanner and Phil Hay on The Athletic have the story.

Fair play to the club not sure they could have done more in the circumstances.

Why do we need Harrison when we've signed Tete? I thought Tete could play winger or midfield if needed?

I know we only got Tete till July, but if he makes his mark I'm sure we can agree with his Ukrainian club to make it permanent?

we‘ve got rid of Perez and Albrighton, two wide players and replaced them with just one in Tetê. Leeds got this right, as usual we did not.

Are we sure Leeds gave their permission for Harrison to come down to Seagrave to have a medical?
I suspect Harrison and his agent were keen to come down to get the medical out of the way. To beat the deadline. But I'm not sure that Leeds had agreed that. Maybe Leeds were still not quite ready to agree the fee and the deal?

Leeds (apparently) offered him the same deal we had on the table to stay with them, no feckin ambition that lad… 🤬

There’s no way we’d be giving him a medical without some kind of ok from Leeds. I feel bad for the lad, evidently being told he could go and then having the rug pulled out from under him at the last minute. But that’s their issue, not ours.

Excl: Jack Harrison set to sign new #lufc contract, after being recalled by the bosses mid-medical on deadline day, as he was about to complete a £20m move to #lcfc. Leeds changed their minds, offered to match Leicester’s wage offer, and Harrison went back to Elland Road.

He's now expected to sign a new contract with Leeds.

Hopefully it’ll upset their rhythm.

And I’ve seen nothing of him not, but it’s a logical possibility.
Surely I don’t have to explain why it’s a possibility !

So Harrison fails a medical but the centre back with a hip injury passes one? I’m not so sure about that suggestion.
