Get the wage bill down and with sales bring in some new blood...and with some of the younger talent trying to break through it might just work.
We're used to this relegation lark now , unlike the younger lot who only know winning the prem,fa cup etc.

smith's inability to fix what is obvious to a blind man, our terrible defensive mid area, should mean he doesn't get the job permanently.
mendy in front of back four and praet in box to box (he can pass and tackle) but no, we get the huffing giant baby and the statue week after fucking week.
 
After the Everton game, Smith highlighted how open we were in midfield and didn’t protect the defence, and said sorting this out was his main priority.

Today he played without a defensive midfielder, left Mendy - who should have started - out of the squad entirely and persisted with Soumare, who is one of the most passive footballers you’ll ever see.

Smith is a clown.

I wasn't sure Mendy was sick or injured? Suprised he wasn't in the squad. We have really treated him bad in his time here, left him out 25 man squad for 6 mths last season?

l believe Soumare is our biggest problem, not the only problem but hes fucking awful. I don't want to see Tielemens in the last 3 games, N'Diddi until he gets his bollocks back can fuck off.

As for Daka and Tete they are so weak its laughable.

Madisson only cares about Madisson and costs us every game - get what we can for him, fuck him off.

Smith has the problem of half the team not giving a shit whatever he tries. The other half aren’t up to it. We’re fucked and fully deserve it.

Patrick Vieri was interested in signing Soumare when he was Palace boss and I was rubbing my hands but he's a young lad and there's a player there but I hope it's not here. I would take 15m for him.

He's living on credit, he's running down his contract at a rudderless club but will always be remembered for that goal that won us the FA cup.
 
Whatever you say about Smith he has inherited a squad bereft of confidence, completely confused about tactics and positional play and without leaders who are prepared to lead by example and put their bodies on the line. Smith can only work with what he has got, which as we are seeing is not a lot. We don’t have anyone else. What should be a good squad has proved totally inadequate. And the annoying thing is it almost gets Rodgers off the hook. Would rather he had been in charge when we go down.

He’s not working with what he’s got though, is he? Today he yet again set us up to be completely overrun in midfield despite having admitted this was a major problem against Everton. The bloke is clueless.

Relegation wouldn't of been good on Brendans CV but he is still linked with the shit we are in. Can't see him getting a top job soon unless it's abroad.
