The music was thud like.
Of supporting the City I can only recall one of two players that I consistently called them by their first names and they were Franky (Worthington) and Lenny (Glover).

I'd add Muzzy (Izzet) to Franky (Worthington) as a first name diminutive that I have consistently used (and Lenny was always Glover to me though I appreciate that for so many it gets confusing due to Lee Glover's oh so memorable loan spell with us).

Does it not depend on who you are addressing, Micky ? Talking to away fans it would be Vardy, but to our fans it would be Jamie. That's what I do. But being called by their first names has to be earned, like with your two examples. I would never call Vestergaard by his first name, whatever it us.

And Rodgers will always be TCR.

That's a fair shout with Muzzy

What about Pegguy Arphexad? Always will be Peggy to me!
On same point there seems to be a fashion for South American players to use some other shirt name. Teté (apart from normally being called crap) was born Mateus Cardoso Lemos Martins. Do we have anyone else whose short name did not relate to their legal name?
