Sorry me again. I'll be out of your hair soon lol.
I just received the collection that has been raised in Dad's memory, I am blown away by your kindness and generosity.
I cannot thankyou all enough and if I could thank you all personally I would, but a forum message will have to suffice I'm afraid.
I had been speaking with Gav about what to do with the collection money (before I knew what was raised) and we had decided that the money would be spent on a stone/plaque to be put at his final resting place at Earl Shilton cemetary, but I think there will be some left over and have thought of a bench for Dad at LCFC.
But again massive thankyou to you all, especially Kev for organising it and his glamorous assistant Soho collecting on his behalf.
Simply stunned, I said to Kev in email I am honoured that so many people thought so highly of a man that I am proud and lucky enough to be able to call my Dad.
Bless you all, much love
Carly. 💙Xxx

Hi Carly. Would it be possible for someone, family or close friend, to post an Obituary of your dad? He was clearly an interesting and admirable man and I’m sure many on here who know him only from stuff on the board would like to know more about his life’s achievements.

Soupsandwich - if you log in to the video of Micky's funeral you will see and hear the most fantastic tribute from Carly to her Dad outlining Micky's life and his work and skills before and after his stroke.👍

Once again many thanks to all those people who gave so generously in Micky's memory. Thanks too to "my glamorous assistant" (surely some mistake? Ed.) for his part in collecting cash contributions. Donations came from far and wide - nationally (yea verily, even from Coventry) and internationally. In total the collection raised £2,176.00 - a pretty impressive sum in less than three weeks.

I think it’s a mark of the great respect and high esteem that Micky was held in, that so many people contributed, many of whom had never had the pleasure of his acquaintance. Clearly his vital role in maintaining the weird and wonderful entity that is Bentleys Roof over such a long period of time was very much appreciated and so highly regarded. It's lovely that Carly will be using the monies towards helping provide a lasting legacy for her Dad of whom she is justifiably very proud. He was a unique and brilliant talent who will be very much missed.

Rest In Peace Micky.
