Media letting us off the hook….

The media pointing the finger in the numerous articles…..but letting us fans off.

It is my opinion that the fans need to take some responsibility for the club’s dramatic fall.
History points to numerous times where club owners have been swayed by the groundswell of opinion displayed by fans, where a majority have voiced a loud unhappiness with a manager, so much so that the club have found the manager’s position to be untenable.
That simply did not happen with Leicester City supporters, hypnotised by the Northern Irishman’s unflustered mantra and ecstatic at the achievement of the FA cup win, most Leicester fans seemed blinded to the destruction taking place behind the scenes and appalling performances being produced.
Any energy that was produced in the fan base manifested itself in anger towards fellow fans that happen to voice the possibility that Rodgers was dangerously spreading hate through the ranks and creating an impending disaster.

Collectively as Leicester City fans, we have been a shambles, failing to take action where other clubs’ supporters would have been screaming from the rooftops.

Whether it was because we were drunk on recent successes or just influenced by those fervently waving the Brendan Rodgers flag, we have been a massive let down.

We’ve been complicit

The press obviously werent at Brentford or at Crystal Palace the game before he was sacked, although there were still a good number backing him still on those occasions.

I agree. I was one of those drunk on the success and giving Rodgers far too much time to turn it around.

The run going into the World Cup saved his skin then. I also think the better performance v Brentford did similar at what was realistically the last time we could sack and have time to recruit till the end of the season. More so given we had no replacement lined up.

I think the Club also conspired to prevent many fans demonstrating their obvious frustration at home games.
Over zealous stewarding, ticketing nonsense, searches, crap loud music and on and on. The matchday experience is diluted by a theatre style approach and the family feel that has always been a big part of the Club (in my opinion) is no longer a consideration. There is a big disconnect right now.
The tragic death of Vichai has marked a slow unravelling of LCFC as we knew it.

I’ll ask again, as I did a few months ago. Why didn’t we protest like the Everton fans did and get a change made?? We were too busy tucking into our Stella’s buying into Rodgers charm.

I think there’s an emotional link between Top and the fans and may perhaps think it disrespectful to the memory of Khun Vichai to protest.
Rodgers being our most successful manager ever also brought him a lot of time.

Fair point Hackney-quite valid. It’s probably that sentimental concern which has got us into this mire. still feels accidental and was avoidable.
