Potter sacked...

I don't know whether the reporter on Sky was meant to say this but it sounds like journos close to Chelsea were told about Potters sacking last night but told to keep it under wraps until the official announcement.
Did word of this reach Leicester earlier today

Ha ha ha, he he he, I'm a fraudulent Gnome and you can't catch me..
Well I've just rewound it and listen again in case I misheard and Kaveh Solhekol - Sky Sports News Chief Reporter - definitely says they got word of this happening around midnight last night but weren't in a position to report that until this evening.

Chelsea fans hated Potter because he came from an unfashionable club. Being deluded, they expected to get someone like Zidane or Simeone.

I think Potter would be perfect for us. He has PL experience, and the team he built at Brighton has overperformed in the way we did, even though they sold many of their best players, just like we did. Getting rid of Rodgers, and I hope Rudkin and Stowell too, will clean out the stables and give the new manager the chance to revive the likes of Caglar, Praet and Iversen who have been so badly treated by our former elite manager.

And keep us up.

Here's my take...

Potter not only fits the profile of the sort of manager we would go for but I also reckon he could take the job and stick around should the unthinkable happen.

Thomas Frank ain't gonna be interested, maybe in the Summer but still unlikely.

A fire-fighter like Benitez or Allardyce would still still need to be looking for a manager in the Summer regardless of what division we are in.

We could potentially be the situation of finding ourselves paying Rodgers reduced compo and not have to pay compo for his replacement. A scenario that previously it might have cost 20m.

Absolutely no chance Rudkin or Stowell will be binned

Potter seems to be the best fit.

However, is he too shell-shocked from his Chelsea experience to walk into a job where his first task is to lift us out of the bottom 3?
