some of the clubs, us included, have got away with stuff because of the extraordinary covid financial allowances.I've been saying this for some time,problem now is it looks like sour grapes. Chelsea are another one I'd like to see checked out,broke when abramovic left spent gazillions since the yank took over? Man City allegedly 100 plus charges of irregularities but nothing being said?
The most obvious point here is: if there are rules and they should be followed, how is it that other clubs have to sue to enforce the fucking rules? Why aren't they being enforced by the body that created the rules in the first place.
Look at the delays in the man city case?? the govt has stepped back because they were going to publish a white paper saying football is incapable of governing itself. the man city case was a belated attempt by the PL to avoid govt scrutiny and oversight. But it's going to be so drawn out, that the only penalties i'll bet will be financial ones which they will easily pay with revenue earned whilst the whole process was ongoing.
it all stinks.
