Very interesting. Covering killings in a Nottinghamshire mining community some 30 years after the miners strike. Plenty of divisions over those that broke the strike and worked and those that didn’t (UDM v NUM) but also interesting mentions about football.
In the first episode there is mention of ‘Notts Forest’ by the former miner from Yorkshire - a deliberate gibe in this Forest supporting community. Then there’s talk in tonight’s episode of Forest playing Barnsley because of the need to have extra police on duty because of the continuing hatred by Barnsley fans of the Nottingham scabs.
