I know last night was a bit of a free hit for Everton, but apparently they were very poor. Lots of their fans seem convinced that Dyche's appointment has come too late and they'll go down.Interesting that the bottom three then and now are the same! Hopefully the same come the end of the season.
Let's hope so.I know last night was a bit of a free hit for Everton, but apparently they were very poor. Lots of their fans seem convinced that Dyche's appointment has come too late and they'll go down.
I wouldn't make the thieving scallies feel important in any way by specifically wanting to catch them. Just finish as high up as possible, to snare a few extra £m.......Let's hope so.
Strange one, I wanted Everton to lose as it makes us safer but I'm aware that we could move up the table and Liverpool, in current form, are catchable.
Three generations of glory hunting scousers in my (not so) smug brother in laws family, none of whom have ever watched their team. My lad, nephew and I wouldn’t say a word which would have the twat on tenterhooks.I wouldn't make the thieving scallies feel important in any way by specifically wanting to catch them. I agree we'll be OK but you're not out of it until mathematically safe.Going back to the original subject we’ve still a way to go. I’ve got expectation that we’ll be fine now but we need to get out of this mess ASAP. Two good results don’t make a summer. But at the moment we’re miles ahead in aptitude, application and skill over the bottom three
Their undoing will be because they have nobody playing who can score regularly.I know last night was a bit of a free hit for Everton, but apparently they were very poor. Lots of their fans seem convinced that Dyche's appointment has come too late and they'll go down.
To think they could probably have had Ihenacho in the window if they had askedTheir undoing will be because they have nobody playing who can score regularly.
Correction, it was a 1-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday but at Filbert Street that guaranteed survival... and a brilliant stress-free trip to Blackburn for the last game.I remember 96/97, we had a great season hovering around mid-table but it was a win at Hillsborough in last but one game that guaranteed survival.
Hence me almost wanting Liverpool to not beat Everton.Had a look at the rest of our fixtures. Yes we've got some of the BCCs but we've also got enough games against those around and below us, to be confident of picking up enough points to be safe, and also help give them more nervous games ahead.
Thanks for some reason I didn't make it so assumed it was awayCorrection, it was a 1-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday but at Filbert Street that guaranteed survival... and a brilliant stress-free trip to Blackburn for the last game.
I hope we don't leave it so late this season. If we stay largely injury free and stay brave I think we'll be ok but want to see that we can scrap when we need to & break down teams who are a little more defensively minded than both Villa & Spurs.
The night probably sticks in my memory because I think it was the last time I won any money on a first scorer bet! (Elliott past Pressman... I hope we never sign him!)Thanks for some reason I didn't make it so assumed it was away
