Yes but how many goals have we scored in the 15 mins? that says me that we keep going to find a goal until the final whistle. We do need that early goal.
If we can score first in the opening 15 to 20 minutes of matches we are a totally different proposition.
The longer we go without a goal the slower our game becomes and especially at home the oppo just sit back.
5 points would be okNext 3 games will be revealing
Soton
Chelsea
Everton
All contenders for top 4 - 6 points would be a good return
I would be far more interested in knowing how many of our famed late goals are decisive, rather than merely adding further to existing comfortable leads or being a consolation effort. That's the real stat, but lazy TV companies rarely dig under the surface. I can't be bothered either, tbh.Yes but how many goals have we scored in the 15 mins? that says me that we keep going to find a goal until the final whistle.
I know what you mean. But that's exactly what we got last season in this same fixture - after which our play went rapidly downhill, and we ended up well beatenWe do need that early goal.

Why have you got the hump with him?Likely starting XI think, fitness permitting.
Personally I would start Perez rather than Maddison, but then I have the hump with him at the moment.
Keep him as an impact sub.
He thinks it is all about him.Why have you got the hump with him?
He's just a flair player most flair players are like this. I like him he's not afraid to try something different, but if you hear him speak he's the first one who recognises its a team game. Also he always bigs us up which is great. He thinks it is all about him.
He slows our attacking moves down whilst trying to make himself look good. He's a good plater, numbers for goals and assists show that, he really could and should be so much better though.
Southampton striker Danny Ings testedLooks like Ings will be available as his self isolation ends on Friday. No reports that he was badly affected. Could even have been a false positive. Anyway, I expect he'll still be a threat. Maybe it's all a ruse to give our defenders a false sense of security.
Southampton striker Danny Ings tested

At a news conference, Hasenhuttl said the 28-year-old England international had been self-isolating and could return to training on Friday.
