Spent many a summer holiday there as a kid. It was a shit hole 50 years ago. Don’t think it’s changed much.

Stockton on Tees was in decline from the seventies. ICI employed around 16’000 folk locally at one time. I know you like to blame the Tories for everything but successive Governments have left it to rot over a long period of time with no real investment.
Maybe you ought to leave if you hold this country in such low regard, record immigration would suggest that not everyone agrees with you
With all these Engineers, Rockets Scientists and Computer Programmers coming in the economy should be flying.

You cannot disconnect the way the country has been run into the ground over the last 13 years without crediting the Tories with their hand in this.

Mistry seems to be uncomfortable with most aspects of life in the UK, he blames it almost entirely on the Tory government. I believe that when we inevitably get a change of political party at the helm he will be equally disappointed because things will never be the way he'd like them to be, hence my logic is don't stay here and be miserable.
I too love this small island of ours but some of the changes I see I worry about.
