Your logic, not mine.
Mistry seems to be uncomfortable with most aspects of life in the UK, he blames it almost entirely on the Tory government. I believe that when we inevitably get a change of political party at the helm he will be equally disappointed because things will never be the way he'd like them to be, hence my logic is don't stay here and be miserable.

I too love this small island of ours but some of the changes I see I worry about.
Given the way Tories have managed things has affected so many aspects of life, I'd say they are definitely the problem.

I'm no Labour supporter but it's highly likely they will form the next govt in any case. However, what's the logic of saying "They're all the same"? And what does it say about people who will expect things to improve dramatically once they're in, given the way the country's been trashed in the last 13 years?

Where govts are concerned, give me boring & competent any time over 'characters', corruption, three-word slogans & friends' pockets being lined.

And there's nothing wrong in wanting things to be better/nicer etc for everyone.

The current lot in charge have a lot to blame for.
The previous ones did too and the next lot will as well...
It's the "government" who are to blame - power remains there, regardless of rosette.
But the rosette is blue at present and the characters in the current Act of the play deserve to be booed and have stuff thrown at them.
It's been a shit part of the story.
Time to move to the next Act and a change of scenery...
Keeps the masses entertained and a bit of escapism from reality.

That's pretty much my point with Mistry, when the next lot get in I feel he'll be bitterly disappointed when they don't achieve the utopia he aspires to.

I'm not looking for utopia - just not the incompetence, corruption & chaos by the current lot hellbent on creating divisions. It matters not one jot to them because they've feathered their nests to ensure they're not affected by any problems that occur in the future as a result of their actions.

That still doesn't mean we shouldn't mean we can still hope for better, as let down as we may have been in varying degrees in the past.

Of course they will...and Brexit...and Liz "fucking thick" Truss...and David "trotters" Cameron...and Boris "pile them high" Johnson...and Rishi "unelected" Sunak and Theresa "robot" May...
