Sub remains found

Looks like it could have been a catastrophic implosion. At least they would have all died within an instance.
There is absolutely nothing that could ever persuade me to go in something like that, even if it was placed in the middle of a field
The whole concept of it would freak me out

The minute I saw he was steering it with a games console controller I’d have been out of there. Surely this is up for a Darwin Award.

Speaking as a bloke that needs Pamela Anderson on standby before I take a shower I think they were all staggeringly brave or stupid

I find all the media attention so first world. They were saying that at one point there were 12 rescue ships there with more on their way. Just yesterday a C17 Globemaster took off from Jersey with another rescue vehicle on board. Two days to get to the site despite the oxygen running out by 1800 yesterday. Millions spent by US/Canadian coastguard. I’d be fuming if I was a US/Canadian tax payer. This was a tourist sub for multi multi millionaires. Not a research vehicle as the company has stated
Yet only last week over 650 migrants die trying to escape war torn poverty and nobody did anything. George Orwell was right.

All animals are the same. But some animals are more equal than others.

Yeah if I was a billionaire I’d definitely get in a homemade tin can with no tracking device, steered by a Logitech PlayStation controller. Sounds completely plausible to me..

Are billionaires exempt from making stupid decisions and putting their lives at risk?
Have you read about the risks Harding has taken in his life?

It's news as there was time for drama, which hooks people. Not 700 people in a lost refugee ship, don't think it's a class or race thing, here - some people might be missing the point.

What disturbs me, is James Cameron called the coverage a 'charade', the US Navy detected the implosion and anyone who knew anything, knew what happened - but drama was created.

Might as well ask why the Titanic steals the headlines, as opposed to the Lusitania or the Empress Of Ireland.

Or the USS Liberty…

The German liner Wilhelm Gustloff sunk in January 1945 by a Soviet Navy submarine while trying to evacuate soldiers and civilians from East Prussia as the Red Army advanced. An estimated 9,400 people were lost. It remains the deadliest isolated maritime disaster ever!
