Trophy presentation - Protocol

At full time, captain leads the team up some steps to a suitable vantage point where everyone in the ground can see the presentation.

Captain receives trophy from a bloke in a suit, holds it aloft for the big cheer than passes the cup to team mates who in turn, also hold the trophy aloft.

Back down another set of steps to do a lap of honour for the fans. This should include the starting 11, the subs & the team manager only.

Fans leave the ground happy & back in the secret pub for half five.

That’s far too sensible an option.

My take is on this thread as otherwise I would have to be following Daz.

The Tifos were as good as any I have seen in this Country. Well done Semper and Co. The team recognised this, going to the Kop .

I hated the hangers on and Ward's name being called out first (or indeed at all).

I thought yesterday was over the top. No pun intended. 2009 deserved celebrating because of the years of dross that preceded it and there was no guarantee that we would go straight back up from Div 3. 2014 deserved celebrating because we has been out of the top league for 10 years, the longest in my lifetime.

But our recent history is completely different. Given the difference in resources - our last Prem wage bill had us in the top ten of spenders - promotion should have been a given.

Enzo has done a great job in reshaping a broken team. But some of his recent stuff about not being supported worries me; sounds just like TCR. And "I didn't know the financial situation" is just bollocks, even though it comes straight from his former boss.

Then I think, am I becoming just a bit entitled, success is not a given ?

Enjoy the summer. VAR awaits.

Yes, what about those of us who want to wave at Kelechi Ianacho’s personal trainer and hairdresser, and Younis’ cousins who’ve just popped over for the weekend?
And every other Uncle Tom Cobley and all
Agree 100% tudor_fox

For all the King Power family have done for us, occasions like Saturday and yesterday's parade do tend grate on me a bit.
I've not quite got over the sight of the owners hogging the Premiership Trophy, leading an entourage of Thai's around the stadium, and another game where we were asked to stand in silence ( I didn't !) when the King of Thailand popped his clogs.
Business is business is suppose, so they need something to show the folks back home.
Ah well, onwards in one direction or the other..

Sick to the back teeth of the sight of thais flooding the corporate areas and chunks of the main stand seating whenever there’s a big game on. They were holding up some weird LED messaging boards yesterday. I know a few people who missed out because of these parasites.

He who pays the piper calls the tune..or do you want that tight cant Martin George back!!

That's why I baled out at full time yesterday and enjoyed a rapid drive home.

Top et al celebrating when 1. We should never have been in this situation anyway and was down to his inability to make a decision that was patently obvious to most of us. And 2. His absence for most of last season when it was all going horribly wrong

When l saw Martin George dancing down the touch line after we won the semi's at Pompey, l though we had a real genuine fan in charge, I've not changed my opinion.
He is a proper fan.
Years ago after a great away win, we were stuck in a traffic jam on our way home. He was in his Roller next to us, but wound the window down and had a chat with us plebs. He was as excited as any 10 year old, about the great win we'd just seen.
