Trouble at County

I said a couple of weeks ago, "Don't be surprised if Rehan goes to Mancs"
Instagram piccie of him floating about in his new Red Emirates shirt.

Glamorgan v County.

So they lose 2 full days to the weather and then Glamorgan rack up 400 + taking most of the day ?
Why ? What's the point of that ?

Okay so County can't win and Glamorgan can't lose, but surely a contrived bit of thinking could have set up a run chase with limited overs.

Even County will struggle to lose 20 wkts in a day.
Glamorgan should have been braver imo.

Yes it got away from County big style, but I still don't understand Glamorgan's way of thinking. They batted on and almost certainly ensured it will be a draw.

I suspect they wanted to see if County still have their knack of letting teams well and truly off the hook.
(They do.)

At lunch yesterday I was thinking a win could be on the cards. As Bills says let’s pile on the runs today to secure batting points.

Full batting points and still second.

A win and could be daylight with some others as we reach the back end of the season.

Yet there are rumours of a player exodus at the end of the season.

Rishi Patel has had a great season so far.

Not a rumour: confirmed that Wright (Sussex), Parkinson and Ackermann (Durham) definitely leaving. All played yesterday, although only Ackerman (17) batted, and all the bowlers took some tap.
It happens, teams go through cycles. Hopefully they can sort the coaching out and put a bit of focus on the actual cricket rather than extra-curricular affairs!
