Never pressed them.
Never got men in the box.
Midfield non existent.
Open at the back.
Players put their heads in the sand until the game was beyond them.
Played with fear and awe of the opponent
Manager couldn't lift them.
 
No they weren't. We allowed them the freedom of Anfield and they took full advantage. They absolutely bossed our weak midfield.

Don't forget man city and arsenal had all the possession and we caught them on the break just as we tried to tonight. Unfortunately for that to work every player has to be switched on.
 
Never looked like laying a glove on them.
After about 15 mins the stats showed the shots at goal 7-0 in their favour.
It' was only a matter of time .
Just didn't look right, it was like a cup tie with a struggling championship club being woefully out of their depth against a good side that expected to win.
Depressing and deflating performance, thankfully though it's just 1 game.
Put it to bed and move on

3 of the stupidest tackles were made in the Man City game all leading to pens & all we cared about for 70 mins against a bang average arsenal side was defending.
Itā€™s very worrying being the most ineffective side in the league at creating chances from open play.
