What A Bargain!!!!!

And think of his 3 in the League so far this season - Fulham, Burnley, Brighton - all excellent striker finishes!

He’s a complete bloody enigma. Literally one minute you’re screaming blue murder at him and the next he produces something out of the top drawer. After Palace I was ready to bin him. Anyone who offered £10m snap their hands off. Yet this week he’s basically won us 4 points which just could be the difference between CL or not. He’s still just 24 and whilst he isn’t Vardy’s replacement I reckon he can certainly do a job IF he plays with another striker and not on his own.

2 great finishes for sure but everyone knows it’s a fine line, especially regarding the Brighton one. Described by some & rightly so how he delayed the shot & sat the keeper down.
Can’t help but think if it had been someone like Pickford in goal that he would have continued to come at inheacho & smootherd the ball & everyone ( including me) would have said why didn’t he hit it first time.

I do find myself shouting "don't shoot" when he gets near the edge of the area as he generally smashes it high or wide; or "fucking pass it!" when he does those little runs and inevitably tried to beat one too many defenders when someone is wide open in a better position.

You’re right. I’m not interested in the wonder finishes but more the regular chances like the miss vs Arsenal at the end. That’s where he drives you mad.

He’s a good player needs to stay in the team with Vardy if possible but how we do that with a 4 I’m not sure.
I think he can adopt and play behind a striker

If we got someone like Ings in next season I can see us playing a slightly different system. Play 2 up front with Madders sitting just behind them.
We need to bring in 2 strikers in the summer to compensate for Vardy not playing every game

It's really a story of a player being down on confidence (which is easier to spot in a striker) and his path from there to where he is now.
It is true he is still only showing glimpses of the ability to be a EPL player but nobody will benefit from his recent form more than him
as his self confidence improves. Regular playing will be of great help, as will praise from media pundits.
I think he was one of the tasks BR set himself when he arrived, Gray being the other main target.
As it looks like the work is beginning to pay off dare I congratulate the coaching staff, bearing in mind the last time I did that there followed an unseemly row about their contribution to what makes a club successful?

Like saying one kick in bollocks is better than two

Well.

In the grander scheme of things...I am going to suggest that one boot to the danglies is preferable to two. And there is an argument to suggest that a kick in the nutz is still less painful than seeing Perez's name on the team sheet.

Wrong, the dummy meant the keeper has to react in case it wasn't a dummy at all he took the keeper out of the game by doing it
